Short Sales Are a Pain........

If you want to attempt to sell your home in a short sale here's the rules:

  • Must show a hardship
  • Have insufficient income to make payments
  • Already be behind in your payments (in default)
  • Have a compelling reason to move

If you are looking to buy a short sale here's the rules:

  • Be very patient
  • Make offers in good faith
    • don't submit multiple offers if you don;t intend to buy them all

We have been very frustrated in the closing ratios on offers we have made to short sale properties. It's hard to understand why the banks take so long to respond. However, if you have the right attitude, and patience you can find some good bargians.
